Inside Out: Holding the Child Within — Volumes I and II

This page provides an overview of the structure and chapter organization of Inside Out: Holding the Child Within.

The book is published in two volumes: Volume I and Volume II.

Preface

This book is a true story, based on the diaries a woman kept over the course of twenty years, tracing her journey in pursuit of the child within.

I met her in my late teens and spent nearly twenty years with her, until the time of her passing. Her name was Nana Hinase. Through illness and loss, she had lost a part of herself, and spent her life searching for love and for something beyond the self.

After her death, I compiled this record of her journey on her behalf.
