Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1967. After working at a psychiatric hospital, as a school counselor, and in a student counseling office, he served as an associate professor at Osaka University Graduate School and as a professor at Tokai Gakuin University. He later opened Ginan Counseling Room in Gifu City.

His areas of expertise include clinical psychology, psychological assessment, psychotherapy using images, depth psychological approaches based on the unconscious, and professional support for caregivers of children with developmental disabilities.

His books include Common Sense in Psychological Assessment: A Basic and Practical Guide from Attitude to Feedback, published by Tomi Shobo.
